Proposition 8

This is a civil rights issue. In no way does this issue affect my life directly, and yet it is extremely important to me. The fact that citizens of California didn't simply reject a bill that made gay marriage legal, but UPHELD a bill that BANNED it, is outrageous, hateful, inhuman. Something must be done about this mindset in our society. Stop creating barriers to happiness! I couldn't say it any better than Olber the Mann:

  1. That was sweeeeet! Tell it how it is Keith! He says the word love 11 times in 6 minutes.

I don't watch this guy very often, does he end every night saying "good night and good luck"? Interesting.

  2. It's really disgusting and unconscionable that Californians voted this measure into law, reversing the CA Supreme Court decision to provide equal rights to same-sex couples... and just as sad that Florida & Arizona passed measures that amend their state constitutions to do the same. I can't fathom what goes through the minds of people who are so hateful and close-minded that they would make it unlawful for two people to profess their love and reap the legal benefits of marriage - as though it affects them... I can't even think of it.
